Saturday, Matt was out-of-town all day, and I don't do overtime with the kids well (working on Weekend without Matt's help.) So I made it movie night for the kids.
I let West choose the movie. The Incredibles is what he chose. So I popped it in, and walked away to prepare snacks. As I was half listening to the movie, I kept thinking to myself that maybe this movie was too much for them, but kept justifying it to myself thinking "other 3 year-olds watch this; how bad could it be?" Mostly laziness was getting the best of me.
So about 5 minutes into the movie, West calls me in and says:
"Mommy, I think this would be a better movie for me when I'm older. I think Winnie the Pooh would be better for me right now."
hmmmm . . . . I agree West. What a kid!

Good for West, demonstrating wisdom at just 3yrs! wow
Too true. Our son is definitely the parent in our house too pointing out what is right from wrong. Of course, this is mostly to try to get sister into trouble. :o)
Glad you are doing well.
That is beautiful. He is taking the 'be careful little eyes what you see' lesson to the application stage all by himself. The Holy Spirit is activ ein the lives of even little guys, amen?! Cool story.
Good for West. I'd have to agree. When I saw that I was surprised at how intense it was for little kids.
Plus Winnie the Pooh is just a great choice.
