For the Love of West

Gotta love the way the West thinks!

Me: West, please put on matching shoes.
West: Why don't you let me be what I want to be

West: I know what I want to call my sister.
Me: Oh? What happens if you get a brother?
West: Well, then I'll have 2 brothers (duh mom!)

As an airplane flies over . . . .
West: Hey, Mom! Aunt Jenny is flying in that airplane!
Me: She is?
West: Yeah! What direction is she going?
Me: South
West: What is in the South?
Me: Well, Mexico.
West: Jenny is going to get a Mexico baby!

Daddy: We are going to church to learn about Jesus
West: I already know everything about Jesus
Daddy: Really?
West: Yeah, He loves me.

For The Sake of Cute

I usually look for photo opportunities that tell a story. Sometimes, they easily lend themselves to a plot, sometimes I can take something quite simple and make a story up. Either way, I like picture stories.

And then there are pictures that are just cute. No story. Just cuteness. So enjoy cute for cute's sake.

This also marks a milestone in Creed's picture taking abilities. He is starting to be able to turn on the charm for the camera. Something random people who see me at the grocery store know Creed does for them very well!

A MUST Read

If you haven't read this book yet, you MUST. I have been blown away by the clarity in which the author describe huge! theological issues (free will, why evil exists, humans in the image of God, Trinity, etc) Even if you think you can explain all these things, this author is amazing in working them into a great story line.

Read it. Read it. Read it. I'm not sure that your spiritual life will be the same after you read it.

Not big on all the Jesus stuff? Try this one and see if it is not a breath of fresh air from so many other attempts to explain God's love. The story line is great on its own and will sure to surprise and entertain.

I'll be reading it again.

Paint Party

West and Creed recently went to a friend's birthday party with a great theme. It was a paint party. We enjoyed seeing our budding artists practice their talents.

West beams at the possibilities of a white canvas. He selects the color orange to concentrate his painting expressions.

Creed takes his art much more seriously. Very few smiles while he works on the canvas (later he is giddy when he explores various surfaces such has his brother, the grass, and mommy's skirt)The beauty is in the detail and West never lacks concentration in the details.Creed is oppressed in working within the white canvas boundaries. His painting skills seem to flourish as he threw off the limitations of the paper and worked on painting the fence.

Now then, STAND STILL, and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your very eyes! 1 Samuel 12:16
